In my hometown of Columbus, Ohio I grew-up always knowing that I was an artist. At the tender age of 3 years old I had my first art studio under the family dinning room table. By the age of fifteen I began winning scholarships to Saturday morning art classes offered through the Columbus College of Art and Design. After high school graduation I received a scholarship, to the same college, where I continued my education and received a BFA in fashion design and fashion illustration.
I started my 25 year art career freelancing as a fashion designer and fashion illustrator for a local independent clothing company. I then took a turn in my career when I accepted a position with Walt Disney Animation Studios in Orlando, Florida where I worked as an animator. My film credits include: "Mulan", "Tarzan", "Lilo and Stitch", "Brother Bear", "Princess and The Frog", "Mickey Mouse" project, "Little Match Girl". "Lion King" Imax, "Pochahontas" additions, and "Goofy's How to Haunt a House". IMDb film credits link HERE (Credits under maiden name Jacqueline M. Shepherd)
After spending almost a decade working on feature films, I opened my art and design studio, and have the pleasure designing, licensing, and producing products in a variety of categories including gift, stationery, apparel, fashion accessories, home textiles and decor for clients world wide. You can find my work in retail stores like Hobby Lobby, Ross, Bed Bath & Beyond, Jellybean rugs, and Walmart.
My art and designs are inspired by and incorporate bright colors, empowering sayings , fashion, nature, layered textures, all sprinkled with sass and whimsy.
